A NEW LAYER OF DIGITAL CARE

See the web
on your terms.

Unexpected explicit content should not be part of anyone’s day. Obsecurea is being built to blur sensitive imagery and give families practical control over adult sites.

Starting with a Chrome extension. Desktop protection is next.

THE IDEA

Less exposure.
More agency.

Obsecurea adds a thoughtful pause between you and imagery you may not want to see. It is designed for adults choosing their own boundaries and for families guiding children online.

01

Blur first

In the browser, images are covered while they are checked. Content identified as explicit stays blurred until you choose to reveal it.

02

Set boundaries

Planned site controls will block known adult destinations. A parent PIN will manage temporary and permanent exceptions.

03

Respect privacy

The product is being designed to evaluate content without keeping copies of flagged images or building a browsing dossier.

THE PRODUCT FAMILY

Protection that meets
you where you are.

We are starting where everyday browsing happens, then expanding carefully to more of the device.

01 / BROWSERFIRST RELEASE

Chrome extension

A lighter, more mindful way to browse. The extension is designed to cover images before they appear, check them on your device, and let you reveal a false positive with a click.

  • Image blur in the browser
  • One-click reveal
  • Adult site controls and parent PIN planned
02 / DESKTOPIN DEVELOPMENT

Desktop app

Planned for macOS, Windows, and Linux. A visible background app will add site blocking and image filtering to supported desktop traffic, with controls for the person managing the device.

  • Visible menu bar or system tray status
  • Admin and PIN protected settings
  • Allowlist for mistaken blocks
LOOKING AHEAD

What about phones and tablets?

We are exploring iOS and Android options. Mobile operating systems limit what third-party filters can inspect, so coverage will be tested and explained before we promise it.

Understand coverage
A FREE FIRST STEP

Start with
safer domains.

The Obsecurea desktop app will offer free network filtering for known adult and malware domains. Create a free account now, then install the app and turn on filtering when it launches. No license purchase will be required.

Domain protection, clearly defined.

DNS filtering can stop a visit to a blocked domain. It does not inspect or blur individual images and videos on sites that remain accessible.

A good filter should make room for curiosity, learning, and choice — while giving people a little more control over what reaches their screen.

THE PRINCIPLE BEHIND OBSECUREA
HONEST BY DESIGN

Clear about
what it can do.

Filtering works differently across browsers, apps, and operating systems. We will publish coverage based on real testing, not broad claims.

Read common questions
01

Browsers come first

Chrome gives us the best opportunity to cover images before display and make mistaken blurs easy to reverse.

02

Desktop coverage varies

Some apps bypass system proxies or protect their connections. Local files need separate integration. We will identify supported surfaces by platform.

03

Video has limits

Some browser video may be filterable. Protected streams and certain cross-origin media cannot be inspected reliably.

04

No filter is perfect

Misses and mistaken blocks can happen. A useful product needs clear controls, feedback, and an honest account of those limits.

CONTROL WITH CONTEXT

Protection should
make sense.

People need a way to correct mistakes. Obsecurea’s planned controls let an adult reveal a blurred image, allow a site for a short time, or add a trusted destination to an allowlist.

For a child’s device, settings and exit actions are intended to require administrator credentials or a parent PIN where the operating system permits. A person with full device administrator access can still remove software.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions,
answered.

Thoughtful protection starts with clear expectations.

Is Obsecurea available today?

You can create a free account today. The Obsecurea Chrome extension and desktop app, including the free network filtering mode, are still in development, with no public download yet.

Will it work everywhere on my computer?

No. Free network filtering blocks known domains only. The planned Chrome extension will focus on supported browser content. Desktop coverage will depend on the operating system, app, and network path.

Can it blur all videos?

No. Some browser video may be supported, but protected streams and media that cannot be inspected will remain outside reliable coverage. We will describe supported video surfaces as they are validated.

Can my child turn it off?

The desktop design includes a parent PIN for settings and administrator checks for exit or removal where supported. It cannot be made impossible to remove by someone who has full administrator control of the computer.

Can one paid license cover family members in different locations?

Yes. A paid license can cover family members in different homes or locations. The device limit applies to the total number of protected devices on that license, wherever they are used.

What happens when a site is blocked by mistake?

Free network filtering does not include personal exceptions. If a site seems blocked by mistake, contact support so we can review it. Obsecurea's planned paid controls include temporary unblocks and an allowlist for supported app filtering.

Does Obsecurea record or monitor my searches and browsing activity?

No. Obsecurea is designed to protect people without tracking their searches or keeping a history of the sites they visit. We believe protection should respect privacy, not turn everyday activity into a report.

Does Obsecurea store the images it checks?

The product is being designed to score images without retaining copies of flagged content. The eventual product privacy notice will describe its actual data flows before release. This preview website has its own narrower privacy notice.
